MIT Atlas Service Center: Brand Design

MIT’s Atlas Center accommodates services from tech support to HR. For many students, faculty, and staff, the center is their first impression of MIT. The university enlisted Gensler to create a space that engages visitors and tells the MIT story. The project transformed community access to university services by consolidating inconvenient, cross-campus locations into a single building. Gensler helped MIT streamline their workflow and employed new technologies like virtual queuing to eliminate lines. A low-tech interactive community wall displays student and staff well wishes from across the globe next to an interactive digital 3D campus map, underscoring MIT’s hands-on learning approach and its mission to reach local and global communities. The result is a seamless experience that is aligned with MIT’s brand.
